Ben Martin, executive assistant to Canadian MP Pat Davidson, tells of walking to work one beautiful day....
"All around me were other people hustling and bustling to get to work, morning lattes in hand. One particular gentleman, I noticed, was precariously balancing not only his morning coffee, but a briefcase and a BlackBerry to boot!
"Despite his obvious struggle with the load he was carrying, nonetheless he fearlessly checked his inbox while walking through the sea of people towards a busy intersection.
"To my fright, he was about to walk right across the intersection, despite the red light, as he was fixated on his "Crackberry" fix... It was only when he was two feet from the curb did I notice the bus oncoming.
"I desperately lunged at the man, grabbing him from behind both shoulders and pulling him away from the fatal step he was about to take in to the street. His only response other than a frantic thank you for saving him?
"Geez, these damn crackberries, eh?"
"Yes Sir. Those damn crackberries..."
